Ed Davey MP wrote to Lord Evans in relation to tweets issued by Jacob Rees-Mogg, Lord President of the Council and Leader of the House of Commons, and Nadine Dorries, Minister of State at the Department of Health and Social Care, on 2 December 2020.

In response, Lord Evans said that the Nolan Principles are a matter of personal responsibility and outlined the Committee’s remit as an advisory body, not a regulator.
