CoRWM provides independent scrutiny and advice to the UK government and devolved governments on the management of radioactive waste. CoRWM is an expert committee of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).
The terms of reference have been drawn up by DESNZ and the devolved governments in consultation with CoRWM. It replaces CoRWM’s framework document. The document sets out the broad terms within which CoRWM will operate and covers the following areas such as role, governance and accountability, and working arrangements.
