The Intellectual Property Act 2014 received Royal Assent on 14 May 2014.

The Act includes a measure that will allow the Intellectual Property Office to share pre-publication patent information with other patent offices around the world, from 1 October 2014 onwards.

This guidance is intended to help explain this change to patent applicants and representatives.
