This report reviews the Business Basics Programme, what we have learned and how the findings can be used to improve the effectiveness of business support policy.

Business Basics was implemented between 2018 and 2022. A total of 32 projects were funded, 17 randomised control trials and 15 proof of concepts.
The aim was to run practical experiments to test promoting the adoption of digital technology and management practices amongst small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
