Each year we produce a report into the work of our research and development teams.

It’s a fascinating insight into the highly complicated world of Sellafield and focuses on the longer term innovative technologies, tools and techniques we need to reduce the costs, improve safety and reduce timescales.

This work is fundamental in delivering our purpose of a clean and safe environment for future generations.

Our aim to remediate the Sellafield site remains constant and with each year we progress with the reduction of the site hazards and the building of technically advanced facilities to manage and store legacy waste.

The science behind this is incredible, and R&D is at the forefront.
