Research and development is critical for the success of many of Sellafield Ltd activities to deliver its mission.

It’s this side of the business which provides the initial research into a problem, and the early development of a solution.

This work isn’t just done by Sellafield Ltd – almost half is done in partnership with the National Nuclear Laboratory. Further support comes from a wide range of technology suppliers – collaborations with the broader supply chain and academic community are essential for Sellafield Ltd’s success.

The review features more than 30 universities and 50 organisations (including small and medium-sized enterprises), national and international companies and national institutes
