Under regulation 4 of the Local Audit (Appointing Person) Regulations 2015 notice is given of the appointment of Public Sector Audit Appointments Ltd, to be the specified appointing person for principal authority audit appointment.
Issued on behalf of the Secretary of State, Department for Communities and Local Government.
The announcement has also been placed in the London Gazette.
Public Sector Audit Appointments Ltd, which is currently the transitional body for local audit contracts, has been specified to take on this role following a market enquiry. Any correspondence in relation to the local audit of principal bodies should be sent to:

This announcement follows the specification in December 2015 of Smaller Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd by the Secretary of State for smaller local bodies’ audit appointments under regulation 4 of the Local Audit (Smaller Authorities) Regulations 2015.
