Details

The Intellectual Property Office is taking a leading role in coordinating enforcement of intellectual property rights and horizon scanning to ensure that policy making services are ready to respond to, and engage with, future challenges and opportunities; one area of interest is 3D printing.

This report will contribute to the evidence base for potential policy in 3D printing and identify prospective new avenues for research.

The search strategy file provides outline details of the search performed in the worldwide patent databases. The resulting patents were then extracted and used to perform the analysis contained in the main report.

The CSV file provides a list of the raw publication numbers of the patents analysed in the main report and has been provided to allow researchers to undertake further analysis if they wish.
