Role of the group

The offshore energy SEA steering group provides objective technical and general advice to facilitate the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) offshore energy SEA process, to promote stakeholder involvement and to achieve timely preparation of quality documents to inform leasing/licensing decisions.

Membership

The steering group is chaired by Saravan Marappan (DESNZ) and brings together experience from government, industry and environmental organisations (including NGOs) to provide input to the SEA methods, and to raise stakeholder awareness and engagement in the SEA process.
