Information Management Partnership for Schools Board

The board assesses the impact that changes to government policy will have on schools' information management systems.

Role of the group

The Information Management Partnership for Schools (IMPS) Board discusses the strategic impact of all proposed changes to government policy on schools’ management information systems (MIS) and the wider management of information in schools.

It also advises on the impact of any new data standards used by school or local authority MIS, including the move towards using Information Standards Board’s (ISB) Education, Skills and Children’s Services (ESCS) data standards.

All discussions and investigations on the operational impact of implementing any changes discussed by the IMPS Board are referred to the Core Software Suppliers Group assessment.
