Consumer Expert Group

Between 2003 and 2012 the Consumer Expert Group advised government on consumer issues relating to the Digital Television Switchover and from 2009 to 2013 the Group also examined the consumer impact of a Digital Radio Switchover. The CEG’s membership was drawn from a range of consumer organisations and citizen groups, including those representing disability groups and older people.

In April 2014, Ed Vaizey, Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, wrote to inform the CEG that its work had concluded and to thank its members for their input to these 2 areas.
