Biography

Victor joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2003 and has since served in both political and consular postings across Latin America, including Quito, Mexico City and Buenos Aires. During postings in London he dedicated himself to working on drugs and international crime, multilateral institutions, Latin American regional politics and the Falkland Islands. Victor was born and raised in London and graduated in Business Studies from the University of Hull.

Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy San Salvador

The Deputy Head of Mission is a senior diplomat and typically a key advisor to the Ambassador or High Commissioner. The Deputy is responsible for the daily management of an overseas Embassy or High Commission. They will represent the UK’s interests in the absence of the Ambassador as Chargé d’Affaires. A senior ranking Deputy may also take the title Minister. Smaller missions may not have a Deputy Head.
