Vicky Bennett
Biography
Vicky became General Counsel and Company Secretary, and a member of the Nuclear Waste Services Executive team on its formation in 2022, leading the business’s legal team and then subsequently the Risk, Assurance, and Business Support functions.
Vicky has developed a broad experience of nuclear issues within a public sector context managing and advising the Board on a wide portfolio of legal, corporate, governance, property, employment, litigation, and commercial matters. Vicky has a particular interest in corporate restructures, successfully leading on the Low Level Waste Repository’s (LLWR) transition to subsidiary status, the formation of the Nuclear Waste Services division, and the move to single legal status, adopting a pragmatic and straightforward approach to successfully resolving complex governance and legal issues.
Vicky is an Executive Sponsor of the Nuclear Waste Services Equality, Diversion and Inclusion (EDI) networks, and sponsors the Enable Network.
