Biography
Rear Admiral Tom Manson was Deputy Director General for the Defence Safety Authority from 4 October 2021 until December 2025.

- Capability Delivery Manager on the Chinook Mk 3 ‘Fix to Field’ Programme

- Type Airworthiness Authority for the Unmanned Air Systems Project Team
- Commander (Air Engineering) at RNAS Yeovilton
- Team Leader and Type Airworthiness Authority for both the Hawk TMk1 and TMk2
- Head of UK Military Flying Training System Programme
