Tom Carney

Biography

Tom Carney has been the interim Director of Communication and External Relations at the Northern Ireland Office since July 2021. He leads on external affairs, external and internal communications, including the campaign to mark the Centenary of Northern Ireland.

Prior to this, he led the Government’s award-winning public information campaign to ensure citizens and businesses took action arising from Brexit and the end of the transition period.
