Tim Cole

Biography

Tim Cole was been the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) Migration Envoy from October 2017 until January 2019. He previously served as Head of the International Organisations Department, Commonwealth Envoy and, from 2012 to 2016, as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Cuba.

Tim is an Africa specialist, having served as Deputy Head of Mission in Zimbabwe and Mozambique, Head of Pan-Africa Policy Unit and Adviser to the Prime Minister’s G8 Africa Personal Representative. Before joining the FCO he was Save the Children’s Programme Director for the Democratic Republic of Congo and ran Christian Aid’s programme in Central Africa.
