Tim Backhouse

Biography

Tim joined the Oil and Pipelines Agency in April 2012 as the Financial Controller in charge of a small finance function. Since the sale of the GPSS in 2015 he took on the additional responsibility of the procurement and IT departments.

Tim qualified as a Charted Management Accountant in December 2007 and at the time was promoted to Financial Controller of CACI Ltd, a marketing company based in London, he was the youngest Financial Controller in their history responsible for 2 divisions with a combined turnover of approx. £60 milllion. Moving on from CACI he was heavily involved in various financial transformation projects including the liquidation of Time Life Europe. He also worked on Sarbanes Oxley and internal audit for Readers Digest International.
