Susan Speller
Biography
Susan was appointed Her Majesty’s Consul-General in Dusseldorf in August 2013. Her area of responsibility covers North-Rhine Westphalia, Hesse, Rhineland Palatinate and Saarland.
Susan and her team promote UK exports to Germany, German investment in the UK; and provide consular assistance to British Nationals.
Susan joined the Diplomatic Service in 1984. She has experience of working on a wide range of topics, including commercial diplomacy; press and communications; organisational change; international aid and development; UN peacekeeping and conflict prevention.
Susan has done a number of postings in Germany, most recently as Head of Press, Public and Political Affairs at the British Embassy in Berlin.
