Susan Jee
Biography
Susan has had many years experience in a number of finance director posts, latterly as Group Finance Director in BNFL plc which at its peak was a £3 billion turnover group.
Between 2003 and 2009 she worked closely with HMT and the Shareholder Executive in the Department of Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and financial advisers implementing a strategy for the release of shareholder value through a series of business sales and then the wind down of BNFL. After retiring as ‘last person standing’ in 2009 she has continued to advise the Shareholder Executive on all matters relating to the management and final closure of the residual BNFL entities.
In addition to this advisory work Susan is Chair of The Vernon Building Society (based in Stockport), Chair of two major pension schemes and is a Non Executive Director and chairs the Audit Committee of 2 nuclear site operating companies.
Susan is proud the be an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and even prouder to have been the first female President of Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants.
