Dr Suneil Kapadia
Biography
Suneil Kapadia has over forty years of NHS clinical practice and approximately twenty years at senior management and Executive Medical Director level in several NHS acute hospitals.
He has held a variety of positions including Chair of the Hospital Consultants’ Committee, Royal College of Physicians Examiner and Tutor, Department of Health Advisory Committee (East Midlands sub committee) member on Clinical Excellence Awards, and member of the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network Board and Advisory Council.
He has been Secretary to the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), a member of the BSG National Executive and assembly member of the United European Gastroenterology Federation.
He qualified as a doctor from Sheffield University which was followed by an MD from the same and an MSc in medical leadership from Warwick University.
Currently he is a Board member of the Independent Monitoring Board for His Majesty’s Prison Featherstone.

The Member of the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration is independent. Its role is to make recommendations to the Prime Minister, the Secretary of State for Health, the First Minister and the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing of the Scottish Parliament, the First Minister and the Minister for Health and Social Services in the Welsh Assembly Government and the First Minister, Deputy First Minister and Minister for Health, Social Services and Public Safety of the Northern Ireland Executive on the remuneration of doctors and dentists taking any part in the National Health Service.
