Mr Stephen Land
Biography
Stephen Land no longer works for the Oil and Pipelines Agency. He joined the Oil and Pipelines Agency as Operations Director in October 2014. Stephen has more than 25 years’ engineering and management experience in the energy industry having started his career with the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB). Most recently, Stephen was the Operations Director for Alkane Energy plc, an AIM listed, UK based power generation and exploration company with operational responsibility for 27 sites. Prior to joining Alkane, Stephen’s career encompassed a broad range of engineering and managerial roles with Powergen, Edison Mission Energy and Derwent Cogeneration Ltd where ultimately he served as the manager of a COMAH registered 220MW gas/oil -fired combined heat and power station. Stephen is professionally qualified in engineering management and occupational health and safety. The Operations Director role is now held by Paul Grange.
