Stephen Browning
Biography
Stephen is the Interim Director - AI & Data Economy, as well as being the Challenge Director for Next Generation Services. This programme aims to support the transformation of the accountancy, insurance and legal services sectors through the responsible use of AI and data.
Prior to this role, Stephen headed the organisation’s enabling – digital team and SBRI programme.
He has a background in the semiconductor industry. Stephen spent nearly 20 years working for Philips Semiconductors and NXP, where he held various software engineering, project management and business management roles. During this time, he formed close collaborations between customers and suppliers to deliver open research and development programmes.
Stephen holds an MBA (distinction) from Imperial College and a BSc in Electronic Engineering.
