Simon Perryman

Biography

Simon Perryman is an independent skills consultant and former Executive Director at the UK Commission for Employment and Skills. He led the Commission’s work striving for more collective action by employers through stronger sectors and local networks. He was also the lead Director for managing our strategic relationship with the Scottish Government and for developing the International strategy of the Commission.

Simon previously worked at the Sector Skills Development Agency and, before that, held a number of senior roles in government relating to skills, small business development and regional development. He has also worked at the regional level, managing the relationship with Training and Enterprise Councils and the launch of the Learning and Skills Council and Regional Development Agency in Yorkshire.

Simon is a graduate of Bradford University, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and lives in Sheffield.
