Simon Palley

Biography

Simon was appointed to the UKGI Board on 19 May 2016 and stepped down on 24 May 2019.

Simon has had an extensive career in investment management, both in a principal and advisor capacity. He started his career at Chase Manhattan Bank and Bain and Company in a number of roles, following which he had a 17-year career as Managing Partner of BC Partners, which he helped to build to one of the largest and most successful investment houses in Europe. His most recent investment management experience has been as Executive Chairman of Centrebridge Europe and he is currently a Senior Advisor to Towerbrook Capital Partners Special Situations fund. He is an Executive Trustee of The Tate Foundation and is a Non-Executive Director of Land Securities plc, the largest property company in the UK.

Simon holds an Economics degree from Cambridge University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, Pennsylvania.
