Dr Simon Dixon
Biography
Simon Dixon joined the Marine Management Organisation in May 2015 and is currently the interim Director of Digital and Analysis.
Simon joined the Marine Management Organisation as a statistician, having previously worked as an Environmental Scientist at Durham University. He has been the MMO’s Chief Statistician since 2019 and has provided the MMO, Defra and the public with insight into the activities of the UK’s Commercial Sea Fisheries through the MMO’s statistical publications. He has overseen delivery of analytical support for EU Exit negotiations and provided the analytical underpinning for major industry funding schemes.
