Schellion Horn
Biography
Schellion has over 25 years’ experience as an economist in the public and private sectors.
She’s currently the head of economics at the accounting and advisory firm S&W providing advice and independent expert services on regulatory and competition economics matters. She also holds trustee, NED and public appointments including NED at the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, Trustee and Chair of the Finance and Performance committee at Make a Wish, Independent Member of the Code Change Committee for Non-Household Water at MOSL and Economist Member of the Upper Tribunal (Tax and Chancery Division).
She’s an active member of Discover Economics, working to ensure economics is an inclusive career and an adjunct lecturer at the International School of Finance. Schellion is a frequent commentator in the media and at conferences on economic issues as well as being a co-editor of the Subsidy Control Insider publication.
Schellion has previously held a variety of economic consulting roles, including Director and Head of Competition Economics at Deloitte and Partner leading the economics team at Grant Thornton, as well as senior roles in the NHS.
She has an MSc Economics from LSE, BSc (Hons) Economics from the University of Warwick, a Diploma in Financial Management (Dip FM), an Advanced Practitioner Award in Expert Witness Evidence (APAEWE) and is a Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC).

The Member of the Armed Forces Pay Review Body is responsible for providing independent advice to the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Defence on the remuneration and charges for members of the Naval, Military and Air Forces of the Crown.
