Sarah Milum, a fully qualified accountant, joined the Intervention Board in 2000 just before the creation of the Rural Payments Agency to Head up the Anti Fraud Unit. She moved to her current role in 2011. Her previous roles include various posts within the Insolvency Service and then that of a Chief Examiner in the Companies Investigation Branch of the former Department for Trade and Industry.
EU Reporting and Compliance Director
The EU Reporting and Compliance Director has overall responsibility for assuring EU Regulatory requirements are met by the organisation and Defra Corporate Service functions to protect the paying agency status, and moving forwards working with Defra policy leads to identify the impacts of EU exit and development of future regulatory requirements driven by policy change. The EU Reporting and Compliance Director is expected to make risk based assessments and decisions, taking account of the balance of disallowance and delivery.
