Dr Sangeeta Ahuja

Biography

Sangeeta Ahuja served as Her Majesty’s Consul General to St Petersburg, Russia from December 2017 until July 2018. Sangeeta joined the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1998 after working as a researcher for Amnesty International for 3 years. She has enjoyed a range of interesting postings in London, Ankara, Warsaw and Washington.

Sangeeta is married to Jan Hofheiz and has 2 daughters and one son. Sangeeta was born in Wigan in the north-west of England to parents of Indian origin. She has a PhD in socio-legal studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
