Sam Younger CBE
Biography
Sam Younger joined the Charity Commission as CEO in September 2010. Sam has extensive experience of leadership in regulation, in public policy and within the charity sector. His previous roles include:
- Chair, Electoral Commission
- Director General, British Red Cross
- Managing Director, BBC World Service
He was appointed Commander of the British Empire in 2009. He is a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an independent member of the Greater London Authority Standards Committee.
