Ruth Elliot

Biography
Ruth joined UKAEA as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of Corporate Services in May 2023. In this role, she has responsibility for the finance and business systems, pensions, commercial, legal and estates teams as well as the JET Decommissioning and Repurposing Programme and the programme to find an investment partner for the Culham Campus, to deliver a data centre and other new facilities. Ruth is also a member of the UKAEA Board and has been closely involved in the establishment of UK Fusion Energy Limited and other areas of UKAEA’s work such as the joint venture for the Harwell Campus.
Prior to joining UKAEA Ruth worked at UK Research and Innovation, initially as Finance Director and then as Deputy CFO. This role again involved running a range of corporate functions as well as being involved in the launch of a range of new initiatives, such as a new loan product for innovative companies.
