Ruth Curry
Biography
Ruth joined HM Land Registry in May 2015 as Deputy Finance Director and became Acting Director in September 2017.
Ruth joined the Civil Service in 1994 on the fast stream programme, having previously been a corporate lawyer. She has a wide variety of Civil Service experience, spanning policy and corporate services, initially in the Cabinet Office and then within major-spending departments. She qualified as an accountant in 2006, as part of the first cohort to undertake the accelerated accountancy qualification developed specifically for civil servants by Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and Warwick Business School.
Immediately before joining HM Land Registry, Ruth was responsible for Further Education funding and investment at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and prior to that she was Head of Human Resources and Finance at the Serious Fraud Office.
