Ronnie Megaughin
Biography
Ronnie became an interim director working on the SIA’s Martyn’s Law preparatory work from 1 July 2025, pending the recruitment of the permanent appointment to the Executive Director for Martyn’s Law.
In his current role, Ronnie has responsibility for the development and implementation of the Martyn’s Law Regulator including programme mobilisation, operational process design, stakeholder engagement, recruitment, and financial management.
Prior to joining the SIA, Ronnie served for 30 years in policing in Scotland including a 5-year term with the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency where he headed up the Serious Organised Crime Interventions Team. He retired from Police Scotland in 2019 having attained the rank of superintendent.
