Ron Dennis CBE
Biography
Ron Dennis CBE was a Non-Executive Director at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology from April 2023 to April 2024.
Ron is the former founder, Chairman and CEO of the McLaren Technology Group Ltd (1984 to 2017), which included; the McLaren Formula One Team, McLaren Automotive and McLaren Applied Technologies.
He was a British Business Ambassador for the UK (2010 to 2019) and Co-Chair of the Defence Innovation Advisory Panel for the Ministry of Defence (2017 to 2019).
Ron is the Chairman of Podium Analytics (from 2019) and the current patron and former Co-Chairman and Founding Trustee (2000 to 2016) of Tommy’s Campaign.
In 2000 he was awarded a CBE for services to motorsport.
