Roland Knell

Biography
Roland Knell joined the Independent Living Fund in 2009 as ILF Senior Information Risk owner and Head of Governance. He is on secondment from the Department of Work and Pensions.
Prior to this, Roland led on governance for The Rent Service (TRS). In 1999 he was on the TRS implementation team and, in 2009, a member of the TRS closure team that managed the transfer of undertakings to HM Revenue and Customs.
Roland’s previous roles include:
- housing sector judge for the London Excellence Awards between 2005 and 2010
- Independent Statutory Officer and a Chief Officer for the London Borough of Camden in 1995
- working for Cambridgeshire County Council
