Robbie Bulloch

Biography

Robbie Bulloch took up office as Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy Berlin in December 2017. Prior to that, he had served from 2015 to 2017 as Private Secretary to the Permanent Under-Secretary of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (now Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office).

His previous roles in London have included Deputy Head, Crisis Management Department, FCO (now FCDO); Head of EU Bill and Parliament Section, EU Constitution Team, FCO (now FCDO); and Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister.

He completed overseas postings as Deputy High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Maldives from 2011 to 2014; and as First Secretary for Justice and Home Affairs at the British Embassy in Madrid from 2007 to 2011.

Robbie Bulloch joined the civil service as a fast stream entrant in 2000, performing early roles in the Home Office and European Commission.

Robbie studied English and Hispanic Studies in Cambridge and Belfast, and holds an MA from Kings College London. He is married, with three children.
