Rick Shearn
Biography
Rick Shearn has been Deputy High Commissioner in Tanzania since July 2019. He has previously been posted to Somalia, Haiti and Sierra Leone focusing on political and security issues.
Rick’s last role in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office in London was to lead the Japan, Korea and Mongolia team including preparations for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and the (now delayed) Tokyo Olympic Games. Rick is joined in Tanzania by partner Mary and their two children.
