Richard Wildash

Biography

Richard Wildash took up his appointment as the Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Riyadh in June 2014.
Prior to that Richard has been British Ambassador to Sao Tome and Principe (non-resident) in January 2010 and was also Ambassador to Angola. Richard joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1977. He has previously served as British High Commissioner to Malawi, and as British High Commissioner to Cameroon and non-resident Ambassador to Gabon, Chad, the Central African Republic and Equatorial Guinea. Richard has a degree in Modern and Mediaeval Languages from Corpus Christi College Cambridge and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Richard is married to Jane and they have two daughters.
