Dr Pippa Malmgren
Biography
Dr Pippa Malmgren was a non-executive board member of the Department for International Trade.
Dr Malmgren is the founder of DRPM Group, which helps clients better anticipate trends in the world economy.
Pippa is also:
- the co-founder of H Robotics, a company which produces aerial platform drones for commercial firms
- author of a geopolitical book ‘Signals: How Everyday Signs Can Help Us Navigate the World’s Turbulent Economy (2016)’
Previously, Dr Malmgren was Special Assistant to the President of the United States, during which she served on the National Economic Council and was a member of President’s Working Group on Financial Markets and the Working Group on Corporate Governance.
Her previous roles include:
- Chief Currency Strategist at Bankers Trust
- Deputy Head of Global Strategy at UBS
