Peter Storr

Biography

Peter Storr is International Director and Senior Director for the International and Immigration Policy Group at the Home Office.

During the UK’s 2013 presidency of the G8, he was the joint chair of the G8 Roma/Lyon Group on organised crime and terrorism. He has represented the UK at meetings of the JHA Council, the UN, G8 and Council of Europe.

He was Director of the Organised and International Crime Directorate from 2001 to 2005. Prior to this he was Head of the Policing Organised Crime Unit from 1998 to 2001 and was responsible for putting together the Home Office legislative response following the 11 September 2001 terrorist attack.

He worked for the UN Drugs and Crime Office in Vienna from 1994 to 1998 as head of policy. Other Home Office posts include Head of the Home Office Drugs Division and Private Secretary to the Home Secretary.

He was appointed Companion of the Order of the Bath in 2010.
