Peter Bonfield
Biography
Peter Bonfield was a non-executive member of the Defra board between December 2015 and May 2018. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the Building Research Establishment (BRE) Group of companies. He has considerable experience of working in Defra, having carried out two reviews - Grown in Britain (an initiative aimed at creating a sustainable future for UK woodlands and forests undertaken in 2013), and the Public Procurement and Food review (a government-wide drive to improve public procurement of food, the recommendations of which were published in July 2014).
