Paul Griffiths

Biography

Paul joined High Speed Two (HS2) as Phase 2b Director in June 2015 and took on the role of Managing Director - Phase Two in September 2017. Paul has almost 30 years of experience in project and programme management, largely in the transportation and infrastructure sectors.

Previously, Paul worked in public transport with Director roles at Centro (now part of the West Midlands combined authority) and at GMPTE (now Transport for Greater Manchester). Paul focused on the development and delivery of major transport infrastructure including Midland Metro and Manchester Metrolink as well as rail and bus rapid transit programmes.

Prior to this Paul’s career included roles in programme management consultancy and engineering.

Paul has a first class degree in Civil Engineering from Salford University, Manchester and an MBA from the University of Leeds. Paul qualified as a Chartered Engineer and is a member of the Association for Project Management and the Institute of Management.
