Patrick Moody

Biography

Patrick studied law at New College Oxford before joining the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1988. He is also a civilian graduate of the UK Defence Academy Higher Command and Staff Course (2010).

He has served overseas in Mexico, the UK Delegation to NATO and as Deputy High Commissioner in Malaysia. He has had a wide range of responsibilities in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office including working on Southern Europe, the Balkans, Africa, international financial crime, and trade promotion policy. He has also been the Director for International Policy in the UK Border Agency, and Head of Border policy in the Home Office. He has been working on South Asia issues since 2012 most recently as Acting Director of South Asia and Afghanistan in the FCO.

Patrick is married to Atalanta and has two teenage children, Tom and Sophie.
