Deputy Head of Mission Oliver Fairlamb

Biography

Oliver Fairlamb is Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Bishkek. He took up his post in May 2025.

Oliver joined the Foreign, Commonwealth Office in 2010. He has previously been posted to Ukraine and Moscow, as well as serving at the UK Mission to the UN. In London, Oliver was most recently Head of the Ukraine Team, and has also worked on Sanctions and the Middle East Peace Process.

Oliver studied History and Politics at the University of Warwick and also speaks Russian.
