Nina Cope joined HS2 in March 2015 as the Organisational Change and Effectiveness Director. Nina focuses on managing the ongoing changes required as the organisation continues to develop and grow, ensuring that HS2 Ltd and employees are high performing teams, are functioning effectively at each stage of the programme, and are fully aligned and prepared to achieve the challenging targets and timelines required.
She joins from the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) where she was the Director responsible for strategy, transformation and performance. Under her leadership the MPS undertook a significant service improvement and cost reduction programme, which included the design and implementation of the new operating model. Building a strong portfolio approach to change, her work led to new ways of working across the organisation.
Nina’s career has focussed on leading and developing organisations and change – both as an advisor in a Local Authority and in KPMG where she worked in the People and Change practice with a number of private, public and not for profit clients.
