Nigel Haywood CVO
Biography
Nigel Haywood is the Governor of the Falkland Islands and Commissioner for South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. He took up his appointment in October 2010. Mr Haywood is a career diplomat, and served in Budapest, Johannesburg and Vienna before becoming Ambassador to Estonia in 2003. He was Consul-General in Basra, Iraq, from 2008-2009. Mr Haywood is married to Louise; they have three sons.
