Nicola Murray
Biography
Nicola joined the FCO in 1999. Her first overseas posting was as a “World Wide Floater” serving in over 15 Embassies throughout Africa, South/Central America and the Middle East in a diverse range of roles including Post accountant and Ambassador. She then spend three years in New Delhi where she set up an ran an FCO pilot Programme Management Unit. Back in London Nicola worked on Conventional Arms Controls and UN Peacekeeping and also served as the FCO’s Board Secretary and as Human Resources Head of Recruitment and Promotion Unit.
Nicola was Deputy Head of the UK Delegation to the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna from 2016-2020 and Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN and other Organisations in Vienna from 2020-2025
Nicola is married and has one son.
