Nick Heath

Biography

Nick Heath took up the role of Director General Trade and Investment at the British Consulate-General in Hong Kong in April 2021. He leads the large Department for International Trade team in Hong Kong and Macao and supports the Consul General to drive the commercial and financial relationship between the UK and the two SARs.

Nick arrived in Hong Kong in August 2019 and has served as Temporary Deputy Consul-General. Between 2015 and 2019, he was Deputy Ambassador at the British Embassy in The Hague. Earlier in his career, Nick worked on a range of issues including EU Exit negotiations and Middle East affairs. He also served as Private Secretary to a number of UK Government Ministers.

Nick has a first class degree in History from the University of Oxford. He is married with two children and enjoys cooking, cricket and reading.

Nick joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2005.
