Nick Carter
Biography
Nick Carter was the Transitional Director of Operations for both the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) from July 2013 to June 2014. These agencies merged to form the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) on 1 April 2014. He left the Civil Service in June 2014.
Nick had been Director of Operations at DSA since October 2010. Before becoming Director of Operations at DSA, he was Director of Strategy and Performance at DSA.
Before joining DSA, he was Traffic Information Director at the Highways Agency. Nick was a career civil servant whose previous roles included operational management roles in the Highways Agency and policy and organisational management roles in various Whitehall departments.
