Nick has a diverse background, having completed a full career in the British Army before transitioning into project management, where he worked as a director for blue chip companies such as Serco and BT Global Services.
His most recent role was as Head of Programme Management at Mott MacDonald. Nick is a graduate of the MSc in Major Programme Management from Oxford University’s Said Business School, the forerunner to the government’s flagship Major Projects Leadership Academy. He lectures in major programmes at Said Business School.
Director of Project Profession and Standards
The Director of the government’s Project Delivery Profession leads the team who are responsible for creating a world-class programme and project delivery capability in and for the UK government.
The team’s work covers leadership development, sourcing independent experts for support and advice, brokering and recruitment for critical major projects, developing project leaders for the future, building capability and managing careers as well as talent across government.
The Profession is writing the Project Delivery Standards for government and strengthening links with Programme and project Professional Associations.
