Nick has a diverse background, having completed a full career in the British Army before transitioning into project management, where he worked as a director for blue chip companies such as Serco and BT Global Services.
His most recent role was as Head of Programme Management at Mott MacDonald. Nick is a graduate of the MSc in Major Programme Management from Oxford University’s Said Business School, the forerunner to the government’s flagship Major Projects Leadership Academy. He lectures in major programmes at Said Business School.

The Director of Project Profession and Standards leads the team who are responsible for creating a world-class project delivery profession and building project delivery capability in government.
The team sets standards for how government delivers projects, develops career pathways, grows and manages talent, accredits people to assure projects and delivers leaderships programmes such as the Major Projects Leadership Academy (MPLA).
