Nic Westcott

Biography
Nic Westcott is Chief People Officer at Sellafield Ltd, where she leads the people strategy for one of Europe’s most complex industrial sites within the NDA Group.
She is shaping leadership capability and cultural alignment across a workforce critical to the UK’s nuclear mission.
With over 20 years’ experience in HR, transformation, and culture development across FTSE100 organisations and highly regulated, unionised environments, Nic is recognised for delivering people-focused strategies and solving complex organisational challenges.
Previously, she was HR and transformation director at Nuclear Waste Services, driving cultural and skills transformation for the UK’s Geological Disposal Facility programme. She also held senior HR roles at Severn Trent PLC, BT, and Openreach shaping initiatives in employee experience, reward, and organisational development.
As Chair of the National College for Nuclear, Nic is guiding the UK’s nuclear education and skills agenda.
At Sellafield, she is embedding cultural change and leadership development while ensuring the organisation attracts, retains, and grows the capabilities needed to deliver its mission safely.
Her vision is clear: to align culture, capability, and leadership with the sector’s future needs, and to inspire the next generation to see nuclear as a place where purpose meets possibility.
